Comprehensive force field for multiply-chlorinated hydrocarbons
نویسنده
چکیده
A force field is presented that has been optimized for chlorinated hyrocarbons containing isolated, vicinal, and geminal secondary chlorines. For carbon-chlorine stretch modes, 74 frequencies in 10 molecules are reproduced with an average error of 4.5 cm-‘. This force field can therefore serve to study these conformation-dependent modes in multiply-chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Vibrational analysis of 2,3,4-trichloropentanes
One meso form and the racemic isomer of 2,3,4-trichloropentane have been synthesized, and their infrared and Raman spectra analysed on the basis of a general force field refined for multiply-chlorinated hydrocarbons. Previous results on 2,3-dichlorobutane have been incorporated in this study, thus providing a force field for detailed analyses of vicinally-chlorinated hydrocarbons. VIBRATIONAL s...

Adsorption Measurement of Chlorinated Hydrocarbons into High-silica Zeolite by Chromatographic Method
In this study, adsorption measurement of various chlorinated hydrocarbons on Y-type zeolites were performed using the chromatographic method to examine the adsorption phenomena. Dichloromethane (DCM), chloroform (TCM), trichloroethylene (TCE), and tetrachloroethylene (PCE), were used as the chlorinated hydrocarbons, and PQ-USY, USY-6.18, Na-Y, HSZ-390HUD, Pentasile-2 and Pentacil-1 were used as...

متن کاملStrategies for the aerobic co-metabolism of chlorinated solvents.
Recent field and laboratory studies have evaluated the potential for aerobic co-metabolism of chlorinated solvents. Different co-metabolic substrates and different methods of application have been tried, including growing indigenous microbes in situ, and injecting into the soil subsurface strains grown in subsurface reactors for their co-metabolic potential. There is much potential for using co...
